The pharmaceutical industry is highly regulated and requires constant awareness and education. The Ethics, Quality and Compliance team at Otsuka needed a way to deliver their mandatory ethics compliance training while improving retention and mitigating risk within the overall organization. They were looking for unique and engaging material to show employees that compliance isn’t just a “check the box” matter – it affects employees in their day to day work lives in a myriad of ways.
Second City Works created a web series featuring the Pharma rep as the lead role in a sitcom called “The Pharm”. Throughout the series viewers watch the characters encounter real life ethical situations, navigate gray areas and highlight common compliance issues. By combining education and entertainment, employees were able to engage and retain in a new way.
