April Fools – Google Branded Content Case Study

Every year Google releases an April Fools branded content video explaining a new (fake) product or feature they are adding to the Google platform. For the first time, they partnered with another brand to bring the comedy to life though hilarious branded content. Second City Works created the “Levity Algorithm” – a tool for business on the Google Enterprise platform to use in order to infuse humor into the workplace. Because The Second City and Google both work to empower an audience, the collaboration was seamless and instantly successful – garnering hundreds of thousands of views after going live on April 1.
